Founded together in 1833, Oberlin the city and Oberlin the college carry on a mutual legacy of social justice, challenge of convention, and high educational standards. The College takes seriously its mission to nurture and train tomorrow's leaders to by offering educational, human, and financial resources. For example, each year more than half of the student body engages in service-learning experiences at local non-profit organizations.
Collectively, we've never stopped being pioneers. We've never stopped learning. We've never stopped inventing. Oberlin College is proud to contribute significantly to all of these endeavors. We have a longstanding commitment to support and enhance the city and region in which it resides.
